Get the full climbing experience over two days of summiting technical peaks. Use various mountaineering techniques to tackle 4th and 5th class terrain. No experience required. Accommodations included.
Overview
Summiting a rock formation in Joshua Tree National Park is not a simple matter of hiking. The park's peaks are too small to be called mountains but what they lack in altitude they make up for in technical challenge. The park’s formations are composed entirely of rock; having no soil, they have no trails. Routes to the top are steep and demand more than hiking shoes and poles. To summit something in Joshua Tree you need the full arsenal of climbing gear and skills.
On this adventure you will climb two technical peaks over two days. We work with the best AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) certified guides to give you a unique experience that will have you climb alpine-style objectives in a beautiful desert environment.
Highlights and activities
- Summit two technical peaks using various mountaineering/ alpine climbing techniques.
- Enjoy a rich Joshua Tree experience that few people get.
